After the BBL final, a 10-day trade window opens allowing uncontracted players to be signed by new clubs, a new mechanism introduced for both BBL and WBBL this season. Teams must have a maximum of 10 players on their list by January 19, with the option to sign up to 12 players after the trade window. Some notable players without deals are Mitchell Marsh, Tim David, Matt Renshaw, Chris Lynn, Jason Behrendorff, Beau Webster, and Travis Head. Not all off-contract players will be signed during this window, and some may stay with their current team when the signing embargo is lifted later in the year. Players cannot re-sign with their existing club during this 10-day slot. Overseas players and local replacement players from this season are not part of the trade window. Each club’s current list includes both signed players and those off-contract, with potential for significant movement in the upcoming week.
