Indian fast bowler Akash Deep was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 1 crore during the IPL 2026 auction. Initially unsold, Akash Deep was eventually picked up by KKR during the accelerated auction at his base price.

Akash Deep, a pacer from Bengal, had a decent performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26, securing seven wickets from five matches with an economy rate of 9.38. Despite being bought for Rs. 8 crore by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025 auction, he was released before the 2026 season.

Throughout his IPL career, the 29-year-old has played for Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore, featuring in 14 matches and claiming 10 wickets at an economy rate of 11.82.
